Sponsorship
Established in 2006 Red George is a non - profit making Rural skills project for young people aged 13 - 18 yrs old. A unique learning environment where young people who do not thrive in the mainstream education system and able to reach their full potential.
The project was founded in memory of George Scott who tragically lost his life in 2003 due to mennigitis he was only 10 yrs old. His elder brother Jon Scott was helping to establish the Red George project in memory of his brother when he too tragically lost his life. In 2006 at the age of 17 yrs old, Jon's life was taken from him by a careless and wreckless hit and run driver. Two wonderful young people whose lives were tragically cut short. Sadly missed by all their family and friends. Their memory lives on in the Red George project.
Red George is a totally self funded enterprise run by dedicated volunteers all of who have extensive experience of working with young people and life. (All volunteers are CRB checked)
Due to being self financed we are unfortunately unable to provide all the equipment and facilities we would like the young people to have. We would like to have a poly tunnel for growing plants as well as a barn for storing of tools, equipment and animal feed. We are in the process of applying for charity status, however sponsorship is very much needed and very welcome.
All sponsors will be acknowledged for their support on the website, promotional literature and awards the young people achieve.
Please help us to help the future of our young people.
